Sparebox Storage ISSUES
In January I reported to Sparebox customer service that I was trapped inside your facility for over 30 minutes because the gate was stuck half way up so I could not exit the property! Sparebox did not send anyone to get me out because they said it was the weekend but they'd "escalate the issue" 30 minutes later a man happened to be walking by and forced the gate open otherwise no telling how long I would have been trapped in there and didn't bother to issue a credit for that that trauma!
It gets worse...in mid March I discovered someone had smashed the door of my unit and I could not open it. I lost money because I needed to ship something I had sold that was stored inside. The damage left my belongings open to elements, rodents and theft! I reported it to Sparebox ticket #4265061, they informed me the door had been smashed in for over a month since Feb 8th and they tried to call me but I didn't answer. They didn't bother contacting me by email since they have no problem emailing me a bill every month! THEN they made me wait 3 more days before someone came out who got the door back on track but 3 weeks later it was still NOT repaired until March 28, I had to hold it open with a rock!!! I asked for 3 months credit for these issues, but Sparebox reluctantly only gave me one month credit after being extremely neglectful and unprofessional at my expense for not notifying me that someone had smashed in the door and allowed wasps to make nests in my belongings! I had to miss work to meet with a repairmen again, and 2 months later it was still not fixed, I had to hold the door open with a rock until it was finally fixed last week! All Sparebox said was “one month credit is all you’re getting and we raise everyone’s rent”...If Sparebox truly cares this is my 4rd request for compensation of minimum of 3 months rent credit, AND NO Rent Increases for as long as I continue to rent space B025.
