Great application. Terrible customer service.
I have used Public Storage off and on again for over 4 years. Sometimes they have the lowest prices and sometimes they don't. They don't allow current customera to take advantage of thier move in deals even if you are moving from one area to another but they provide a very basic service and they are secure. Hard to go wrong with that. Unfortunately they are hit and miss on the customer service. I recently moved from one area to another. I had delayed for a while since I didnt access my storage that often and it was only a 20 mile difference. They sent me an invoice that had my rate going up $12 so I looked around at closer storage and it was $40 cheaper at the new unit for the same size storage with added climate control. Great move! They did not provide a refund on my old pre paid unit but they did prorate the move in unit since I moved in 18 days into the month. The old unit I had a very hard time getting ahold of the property manager on the few occasions when I did stop by. He was almost never in the office or busy with other customers. Had to get the outside door code every time simple because they had an extra level of security that I couldn't remember when I didn't use it but every two months. My key was on me and my gate code was available through my online account. The extra door code was only available from the property manager. I'm still satisfied with the service. Got what I wanted out of it despite a few inconveniences.
