Storage facility after hours issue.
Storage facility was nice and clean. The customer service representatives were beyond exceptional. The worst part which I'm highly still upset about and I'm still waiting for an apology or better yet, a follow up on is: I made it to the gate 8:59 pm as I'm punching in my code the gate locks me in with my infant 6 month old and my 6 year old daughter! I called the 1800 number and explained my situation. The gut gave me a bunch of useless code and none of them would override the system to let me out. He kept telling me to punch in my personal code the office gave me but it was useless yet again. He told me to leave my vehicle there in the back of the building and hitch a ride or wait and HOPE TO GOD the district manager called. Also it's stupid they didn't have a store manager information on file To call them. The rep called the district manager, that person never answered, and the rep left a message for them. that's the worst part he/she NEVER EVER NOT ONCE CALLED OR EMAILED me to do a follow up. I had to call the cops to get me out only for them to punch my code on the outside of the gate to let me out. 1 hour later. If it was that simple I would have hopped the gate and done it myself. I'm more upset at the fact that I NEVER ONCE GOT A FOLLOW UP CONTACT to make sure I was ok. I had my infant child screaming in the background with no help. Over all the facility it self was clean and the people were helpful inside. my situation could have been avoided from getting locked in and I'm aware of that but given my circumstances it was the only time I'm able to move storage. There should be an emergency code given to each person and in the event it happens. there should be some kind of helpful policy of like $10-20 fee for using it so it doesn't become a loophole for people to abuse the system but it would be helpful because not all people are fortunate enough to move storage during specified times. So a failsafe system should be implemented in case a situation like mine arises and you need to get out. I'm not going to stand on the streets looking for a ride with my infant in hand and my child in the cold. I want an apology for not getting a follow up call and I demand some kind of credit for it. I shouldn't have to leave my vehicle when I have children. Like I said there should be some kind of failsafe.
