Issue with unit; quick but temporary resolution
I found an amazing deal for a storage unit, but upon move-in, my reserved room had a flimsy metal sheet for an outdoor wall, and it was loose so open air, sunlight and potentially rain could easily get into the unit.
Via customer service, i was easily transferred to a new unit but was told my unit price would not be retained for long in this new unit.
I’m happy to move into the previous unit for the price point i desired/was offered, but only once the clear liability for weather damage was addressed but there were no guarantees made about that unit staying available because i had to swap units in the meantime.
I’m worried now that i’ll get stuck with an 3 times higher priced unit if Snapbox doesn’t reach out to me regarding moving into the 5x4 unit intended. To make matters more complex, starting december I plan to move abroad, meaning i’ll be unable to move my items into a new unit myself.
All of this is as mentioned via phone to customer service, but the operator didn’t have a solution for it- which I understand as it’s complex but it’s still disappointing. Would’ve loved to have a stress-free move in, as i do love the facility and security despite the issue I faced.
