poor service
It was somewhat upsetting to get an updated price when I received my keys for my storage unit. I was not told that I needed to purchase insurance nor that I needed to pay for the lock you provided. When asked about the insurance the agent said if I found out that my renters insurance covered my storage unit then I would be refunded the amount. I went three days later to provide information that my renters insurance would cover my storage unit. Same agent told me that the company would most likely send me a refund. I called the insurance company you provided (of which I was not given a choice) and they told me that they would not be providing me with a refund of any kind; the bill had been paid and would cover me for the rest of the month.
I called Public Storage yesterday and expressed my dissatisfaction with another agent. I feel as though your website is misleading as to how economical your first month will be when it is not clearly stated that you are required to purchase insurance (or show proof that you have some that covers your unit) or that you have to purchase the lock provided. The agent I spoke with said she has received the same complaints/concerns before and was sending the manager the concerns stated.
