Cubesmart would not honor Sparefoot's Reservation
I came in with a sweet smile and left feeling like I had been taken advantage of. I brought my printout from Sparefoot with the reserved price on it and the manager flat-out refused to take the price. He said SpareFoot is a 3rd party and even though they have an agreement with them, they do not have to honor the prices. Then I asked if they had any discounts, and of course no. Then I asked if I could have a unit at the far end where my other units were as I am 100% disabled, you know with ADA? and he almost enjoyed saying NO then put me at the opposite end of the largest cubesmart storage center in Texas and on top of that on the 3rd floor the farthest from the elevators!. I explained to him again & he really did not care. I was having all kinds of problems with my gate password and I knew I typed it in correctly he tried it and of course, it didn't work time after time after time. Eventually, he got all the gates to sync with the computer. So I guess they don't care much about doing that for all gate codes regularly even if you drive 30 miles that day if you come after 5pm. I would think most companies would give you half-off or more the first month at a minimum for all this aggregation. So Then I find out someone had changed the lock on my unit. I had to drive back again. By now I spent hours there ready to give up. He had me sign a form that he said he could drill out the key. Then he left but he did not give me another key to put back on. Now After all that I have to go up and down all 3 floors from beginning to end, 2 times and there were no trolly dollys to move your stuff. He made me feel like it was the new customer's fault saying "Well the customers steal them". I told him he should get their ID or credit card but he said no, he didn't want to. (Just blame it on the good customers!). Why is this person working with the public?
