Not a good experience
I reserved my storage space on Thursday, April 24, filled out paperwork, got my access code. I told them I was moving in the evening of Saturday, April 26. After driving from a town north of Dallas to San Antonio (almost 6 hours), I arrived about 5:45 PM. The truck company moving my stuff was about 35 minutes behind me. I wanted to make sure my code worked. When I checked it, it did not work with the code the lady gave to me on Thursday. I had to call the 800 number. They did some research on my account and told me the correct code. I was able to get through the gate. The moving truck showed up at 6:25 PM and we got in the elevator and went upstairs and the storage facility lock was on the door of my unit. I immediately called the 800 number again and Madison worked hard at trying to get a manager, area manager, and district manager on the phone. None of them answered the phone. Finally, after 30 minutes of calling, Madison was able to get the district manager on the phone and he called me at 7:00 PM and told me one of the manager's of the storage facility had just finished eating and was paying her bill and she would be there in 20 minutes. She showed up at 7:27 PM. If you decide to rent a storage unit here be sure you ask that they remove their lock from your unit before you schedule your move. You can't rely on them to do their job. FYI CEO Chuck, your managers who are on-call after hours should have their cell phone on and with them at all times.
