  Great first impression/experience

  So I have been trying to get a storage unit for some time now and I found one that was in a great location that is available 24/7. They baited me with the location and price and when they contacted me they said they would forward me the paperwork ahead of time to fill out and they would buzz me in so I could see the location. They then wouldn't stop calling every day and I obviously got cold feet. So I stumbled upon this wonderful price and a brand new location in bethpage New York , reserved a spot and heard from the manager the next afternoon. The manager was very pleasant and even though I said move in on Sunday she said she would meet me that evening. When I arrive she is as nice as can be and takes me up to the unit to show me what am getting. Even goes as far as changing the unit because the door was a bit awkward. She explained everything very thoroughly and I was extremely pleased with her service as well as the facility. As for some opportunities , I did feel a bit pressured to purchase boxes. Even after I told her I work in retail and boxes are very easy to come by she was very pushy. I was also a little upset initially about purchasing a lock for $20 that I did not remove from a package myself. How do I know I received all the keys? Initial payment was a bit shady as well but neither her or I could truly identify the break down so I won't attempt to explain it here. Overall I had a great experience.

  Satisfied Repeat Customer

  I have had my things at your facility for years. It's clean, the staff is friendly, it's convenient and the price isn't too scary. The only thing I don't like is that people can tailgate to get in. I've never had a problem with tailgaters, they were tenants too, but hopefully the wrong folks won't get the idea they can do this. Otherwise, I love this place and recommend it all the time to my friends and acquaintances.

  Personnel are Everything

  The people at the Public Storage I am currently renting space from are the real reason I chose to go there. I had done my research, decided on the size of unit I needed, and the price I was willing to pay. I almost walked away because of the truly intrusive and repetitive e-mails and phone calls I received after reserving the unit. I am an adult and do not need or want to be called and e-mailed multiple times: I MADE a reservation, I HAD all the data, yet I was hounded with repetitious e-mails and calls. Thankfully, when I called the office, a lovely woman by the name of Sade, tried to settle me down. She asked me to select a time to come in (on the day I had already stated I would be there), so that she would be available to show me the unit and answer questions before finishing up the required paperwork. I was pleased - until I got another few e-mails. On the day of my appointment, Sade received the brunt of my annoyance regarding the calls and e-mails with courtesy and style. That display of sincerity and concern saved the day. Corporate needs to change the computer settings to STOP "helpfulness" from bordering on insult and harassment. They also need to be upfront about the "required" insurance fees that are not really noted until you go to sign up. The building in my case is brand new. I was impressed with the cleanliness, the lighting, the temperature control of the building, and especially the many evidences of security. But again I come to the main reason I chose THIS location: The Personnel!!! Their commitment to customer service is exceptional.

  Great service

  Everything at my PS is great except one thing. I do not get phone service on the 2nd floor and there is no wifi. Something makes me feel uneasy with no service in a unknown area

  when I called to see if I needed an appointment to see a unit I was a bit turned off. they speed talk on the phone trying to get you in there. however once at the facility the crew was informative, and nice. facility is clean and well secured. Book on-line though, you save tons of $$$
