Personnel are Everything
The people at the Public Storage I am currently renting space from are the real reason I chose to go there. I had done my research, decided on the size of unit I needed, and the price I was willing to pay. I almost walked away because of the truly intrusive and repetitive e-mails and phone calls I received after reserving the unit. I am an adult and do not need or want to be called and e-mailed multiple times: I MADE a reservation, I HAD all the data, yet I was hounded with repetitious e-mails and calls. Thankfully, when I called the office, a lovely woman by the name of Sade, tried to settle me down. She asked me to select a time to come in (on the day I had already stated I would be there), so that she would be available to show me the unit and answer questions before finishing up the required paperwork. I was pleased - until I got another few e-mails. On the day of my appointment, Sade received the brunt of my annoyance regarding the calls and e-mails with courtesy and style. That display of sincerity and concern saved the day. Corporate needs to change the computer settings to STOP "helpfulness" from bordering on insult and harassment. They also need to be upfront about the "required" insurance fees that are not really noted until you go to sign up. The building in my case is brand new. I was impressed with the cleanliness, the lighting, the temperature control of the building, and especially the many evidences of security. But again I come to the main reason I chose THIS location: The Personnel!!! Their commitment to customer service is exceptional.
