i moved into my unit yesterday. when i first arrived to the facility the agent who was suppose to work in the office was not there when my best friend and i arrived.... the note on the door stated that she was out running errands and to call a local number. We called the number and the girl on the phone sounded nice but seemed unsure about when she was returning back to the facility or she may have just been distracted while talking to my friend and i on the phone. Once i finished paperwork the agent assured me that she will program my code for the gate and she will take their lock off my storage and sweep out my unit. So, that night i arrived to the facility at 10pm (one hour before access hours was over) and my unit still had a lock on it. i was able to get inside the property, so i know that the agent programed my access code but she failed to complete the rest of the job by taking off the lock and sweeping my unit like she said she would. so now i have to contact both of the security numbers that was posted on property. (two different companies, one of them has not had an acct with this location for sometime) i had the security contact the manager or contact person to get some down to the facility to take the lock off due to the fact i was on time restrait with a uhaul and where i was moving from. the same agent arrived at 11:30pm ... A hour and a half of waiting for her. she then apologize and said i will have 24 hour access to the facility for the night only. i asked her what was she going to do for the inconvience and she stated tht she will contact upper mgmt and then get ahold of me. i didnt have time to talk with her much caiuse i had things to do but today is the next day and i will be contacting her to see if this company "pays attention" to their tennants concerns and needs.
No one in the office most of time and doesn't answer the phone. I don't like the fact that I couldn't use my own lock.
When we arrived it was close to 1:30. The agents were just coming back with lunch. The attendant seemed very rushed, not sure if it was because of lunch or if it was just the norm. Felt like I was being talked down to during the transaction. The storage unit was an inside facility which would be fine. However, I was not made aware of the outside facilities until I was pulling into the facility. We started to unload and realized how INCONVENIENT the unit was. I went back to the office and the doors were locked and no one would answer the local phone number. This was during normal business hours. So we are stuck with the unit, that I do not like and doesn't need air conditioning. Then while we (2) people were unloading we were told we needed to move our stuff out of the way faster, funny no one was around and it was just my husband and I. I am sorry this was NOT what I wanted after a 16 hour trip. NEVR AGAIN!!! will I use this facility. I just need to find my home and get my stuff out ASAP. Meanwhile, I am being charged an Arm & leg for a storage unit I do not want.
